Alessandra is a senior international leader, a Customer engagement expert, passionate about Brands & Innovation, bringing strategy and vision to life, to win customer and colleague hearts and minds. Now embarking on a Portfolio Career, in Advisory , Public Speaking Non-Exec Roles and Executive Coaching.  

Alessandra worked at Tesco for nearly seven years as Group Chief Customer Officer, where she brought together all the disciplines of marketing, advertising, innovation and insight, to create strong and distinctive  brand propositions & communication. 

Leveraging Tesco’s deep and rich understanding of its customers, Alessandra and her team transformed the Tesco Clubcard into a future looking digital engagement platform, serving 21 Mio customers in relevant and  personalised ways, as well as an opportunity to engage suppliers’ Brands to reach their customers more  effectively. 

In 2021, Alessandra was appointed President of the Advertising Association. Alessandra is Chair of the  Marketing Group of Great Britain for the 2024/25 Season. She has been of Teens Unite from 2018 to 2022 and NED for Tesco Mobile between 2017 and 2023.  

Prior to Tesco, Alessandra worked for Unilever for over 20 years, holding different board- level positions in  marketing and general management in Italy, Central & Eastern Europe and the USA. Alessandra started her career in advertising at JWT Milan, as an apprentice straight out of school. She worked  in advertising for 12 years in both Italy and the UK. Alessandra has two grown up children, lives in London and travels around town on a baby-blue Vespa.
