Intelligence Co-Director, Outvertising

Dr. Rodney Collins is the Co-Director of Intelligence at Outvertising, the not-for-profit, volunteer led and run LGBTQIA+ advertising and marketing advocacy group in the UK. At Outvertising, he is the co-lead and lead author of the group's Outvertising Consumer Report which is designed to inform how brand leaders can communicate authentically to positively affect brand affinity, reputation, and sales amongst LGBTQIA+ audiences. Dr. Rodney Collins is also the Global Head of Human Sciences at McCann Worldgroup, a best-in-class insight and intelligence company at the heart of the world’s leader in the business of creativity. With over 12 years of experience in applying the human sciences to business and marketing challenges Rodney partners with global leaders to architect models for cultural change within complex organizations, and to drive impactful action by brands, businesses, and leaders. He speaks widely to global audiences about the imperatives of culture and identity to enable solutions for technical innovation, product development, talent development, and inclusive and empathetic corporate cultural leadership. Rodney has published in academic, trade, and mainstream media and has taught university and post-graduate level courses at New York University, Georgetown University, and Columbia University. As a professional anthropologist, Rodney believes in the urgency of culture to drive progressive action, whether that is in a protest march or a board room. In 2024, Rodney was named as an IPA iLister.
