Imogen Tazzyman

ECD, McCann Manchester

Imogen began her career at McCann Manchester, working across many clients including Aldi, Scholl and Durex, before heading down to McCann London.

There, Imogen worked with brands such as Subway, Bisto and MasterCard before moving on to create some of the most awarded, talked about and effective work in the UK for The British Army and Confused.com. She even angered Piers Morgan into debating her work on national TV.

Her work has been recognised at all the major award shows including Creative Circle, Cannes Lions, D&AD, Campaign Big, IPA Effectiveness and the DMAs. She also sits on the Global Creative Council for Snapchat and was a recipient of Campaign’s Female Frontiers award for Conquering Creativity in 2020. Imogen returned to McCann Manchester in 2020 and within months of being at the agency watched the Smyths ad become the number one Christmas campaign on YouTube with almost 20 million views.

Imogen has mentored countless creatives,  she sits on the SnapChat Global Creative Council. Imogen is keen to point out, as like many women, writing about herself kills her, but she always swore that if she made it anywhere in her career, she’s send the ladder back down.  In her own words:

So, I am committed to showing up. Because we cannot be what we cannot see. So I will always say yes to the panel; enter awards (and not ask my male CCO to enter for me, tempting though it is) and step forward to represent not just myself, but the thousands of other creatives out there who once looked at the industry and thought – I don’t belong there. Well, come and speak to me. Because there’s life outside the M25. And we’re changing things round here.
